How To: configure random queue music

Purpose: To demonstrate how to configure random queue music within your skill group queues

Steps

1. Log in to the Admin UI of the Chronicall main page.
2. Select Contact Center Configuration > Skill Management.
3. A new window will appear called Skill Management. Open up the skill definition settings by clicking the three dots button associated with the desired skill.
4. A new window will appear called Skill Definition. Locate the Queue Music information field and click the associated ellipsis tool.
5. A new window will appear called Queue Music. Click the New Music… button.
6. A new window will appear called New Music. In the Music Name information field, type in pick_random_music.
7. Click the File icon.
8. Select a file and click Open. This file can be a dummy file because it will never be played.
9. Click OK on the New Music window, the Queue Music window, and the Skill Definition window.
10. Click Save on the Skill Management window.
11. Select Contact Center Configuration > Skill Management again.
12. The Skill Management window will appear. Open up the skill definition settings by clicking the three dots button associated with the desired skill.
13. The Skill Definition window will appear. Click the ellipsis tool that is associated with the Queue Music information field.
14. The Queue Music window will appear. Click the New Music… button.
15. The New Music window will appear. Click the File icon.
16. Select a music file that you would like played randomly and click Open.
17. In the Music Name information field, give the file a name and then add _random at the end of the name.
18. Click OK.
19. Click the File icon again and repeat steps 17 and 19 until you’ve added the music files you want on there.
20. Click OK on the Queue Music window
21. In the Skill Definition window, click the dropdown arrow associated with the Queue Music information field.
22. Select pick_random_music and the queue will now play any of the files that you’ve added the _random to the end.
23. Click OK.
24. Click Save on the Skill Management window.
