Recording Library Overview
This gives an overview of what Recording Library has to offer.
This is an organizational module that compresses your files to save space on your hard drive and organizes your files into Cradle to Grave for easy access.
Compressing Recordings
When a recording is created, Recording Library compresses the file into an efficient Speex (.spx) file, which is optimized for high quality voice playback. Recordings like this typically take up 100 KB of file storage per minute. This means that with only 32 GB of storage space, you could record an agent for eight full hours every workday for two years.
Available through Cradle to Grave
When in need of a recording file, you can go to Cradle to Grave because Recording Library makes those recording files readily available in Cradle to Grave. Cradle to Grave provides you with the option to filter by recorded calls, email and download files, generate an external listen link, add and view notes, create recording snippets to send, and change the playback speed of the recordings.
Scorecards
Recording Library also provides quality management through scorecards, which are a great way to evaluate the performance of users or groups based on the recording. You have three question options when developing your scorecards: yes or no, 1 – 10 ratings, and free form questions. You can also run reports on any of the information you gain by using scorecards.
Recording Monitor
This feature of Recording Library allows you to see who is being recorded, which ports are in use, and whether or not you are out of ports. Recording Monitor is supported on VRTX, Cisco’s Built-In Bridge, and Mitel's Route Point.
